Sunday 3 January, 201060% Aussie love Mile High Club -- having sex mid-air

About 60 percent of Australian travelers are either members of Mile High Club or want to join it, which means having sex on an aircraft, a survey released Monday, according to Reuters reports.

More than 1,000 people attended the survey and over half of them wanted an adventure of a mid-air sexual encounter, while 12 percent of them already had that experiences.

But the remaining 42 percent voted in the negative, saying that cramped and smelly toilets were not their style.

"People are obviously looking for more stimulating entertainment than a movie or a CD when travelling by plane," global marketing manager of the company behind the survey, totaltravel.com, Paul Fisher said.

British actor Ralph Fiennes grabbed headlines last year with his sex romp with a female Qantas air hostess in a business class toilet cubicle.

Singapore Airlines last November asked passengers on its new super jumbo Airbus A380 aircraft, which had its maiden commercial flight from Singapore to Sydney, not to seek Mile High Club membership in first class cabins, which boast a double bed.
