Is it sex if you don't touch?
5Virtually everybody's doing it. Of nearly 2500 students at more than 150 colleges and universities across Canada, 87 percent say they have fleshless sex: 53 percent key it in via instant messenger, 48 percent ogle each other by webcam, and 44 percent indulge in good old-fashioned phone lust.
Safe sex the New Age way? No way: 45% of students claim to have sex 2 to 5 times a week, and 17 percent claim 6 times or more. Since 63 percent have tried sex in public and in various odd venues (including graveyards, airport runways, and the backseat of Mom's car while she's driving), and nearly everyone has a favorite position (close to an even split between doggy style and woman atop), it's safe to assume there's some actual intercourse of the physical kind going on.
Sadly, only 27 percent of the women, and a tragic 14 percent of the men, report being thoroughly satisfied afterward.
More then a quarter have tried group sex, though fully 87 percent claim to be sober when they get it on. (About 3.5 percent can't remember.)
But the truly sobering statistic is that 10 percent don't see safer sex as a big deal; 8 percent of men and 4 percent of women use no protection at all.
