Saturday 24 January, 2009Naked guy dangles from window to elude capture!

In a breathtakingly ballsy move, a stark-naked man climbed out the window of his lover's bedroom and dangled precariously against the side of the building, hoping to be out of eyesight of the furious, cuckolded husband above him.

He was not caught. But he might have to be painted over.

The fugitive lover is part of a mural painted by guerilla artist Banksy on the side of a building in Bristol, England. As it happens, the offices of the city council have a grand view of the hapless nude.

The council said it will ask the public whether or not to clean off the mural or paint over it. "We are encouraging debate amongst residents and would like to hear people's views and comments about this latest addition to the Banksy collection."

Banksy (real name, Robin Banks) has been called Britain's most celebrated graffiti artist. In addition to many outdoor works of classic social commentary, his "collection" includes a surprising number of works that have appeared in some of the world's great galleries and museums: New York's Metropolitan Museum, Museum of Modern Art, Brooklyn Museum, and American Museum of Natural History; London's Tate Gallery and British Museum; and the Louvre in Paris. All smuggled in, of course. At least one, currently in the museum's lost-and-found.

Bristol native Banksy put his latest statement on the side of the Brook Young People's Sexual Health Clinic. One of the doctors at the clinic, Annie Evans, said the staff there were "bouncing with joy" over the mural.

To the artist, she said, "Did you realise how utterly appropriate your latest subject matter was, given what goes on in the building?

"Thanks a bunch, and we will do our best to look after it.'
