Life is a Journey!
I know a lot of you out there, and this may come as a surprise to some, but yes I have found what I want! Months ago I joined SexyAds hoping to make friends and connections due to being single for the first time in 25 years. Trying to make that transition from being married to being single an easier one. The dating world has changed. LOL
I set my standards high! I know that in a relationship you can only change people to a certain degree. So, when your searching for that special someone, make sure you keep you expectations realistic. The only things I really want from a partner is respect, honesty, a man that was loving, caring, able to express himself. Someone like me. I spent 25 years in a relationship thinking that was the best I could do. But boy was I wrong.
After searching, I have found the man of my dreams. We have been talking and together now for about 10 months, and our relationship grows stronger everyday. I finally received my divorce papers in the mail yesterday, and I'm happy to say 'THE HELL IS FINALLY OVER'. Its been a long hard road, but I got through it, due to the help and support of many here. But, especially to the man I'm going to marry, who has supported me more than I could have ever expected. Racer222 has been a true friend, lover and I couldn't ask for more from a man. Yes, we have had our rough times, broke up a couple times (for maybe a day or 2). But he gives me what I need, attention, compassion, support, and most of all 'Loves me for me'!
But my reason for this blog is to tell you 'Make sure you know what you want' before you venture into relationships. There will be lots of bad times, good times, but if you truly love someone enough, you can get through it.
But, first and foremost, you have to love yourself first, before you can love someone else!
Try not to bring your baggage with you from other relationships. That's a big downer, and not fair to the other person. Most of all remember, no one is perfect, we all make mistakes, and don't just settle for anything. Perserverance is the key! Stay strong in what you want and believe, and it will happen! Don't just settle because your lonely and unhappy.
Racer222 and I are planning on marriage soon, and I couldn't be happier. He has the same set standards as I do. We are ready to be together for the next 99 Years, LOL.
