Just Normal Folks
Today I met with a new friend whom I shall hereafter rename my “adventure buddy”.
This adventure buddy has tried swinging a couple of times and wanted to know if I was interested at all in participating. Considering that I move as slow as a nun forced to suck a priest’s cock, I told him that participation was not high on my list but there was still an interest I had in observing. He’d like me to take photos of him while he’s engaged with a couple. I think I’d feel a lot safer with a camera in my hands, to tell you the truth. He told me that he has found over time that most people express an interest in sexual adventure but when it comes right down to becoming involved in it, that’s where they stop. Some of the categories he threw out were: swinging, nudist colonies, swapping, couples and threesomes.
I told him that I was one of those people who lived more through books and movies than actual experience. He said he could represent an open door for me. I looked at him and told him that I was quite sure I would never be the same again but that I was open to being introduced to anything that interested him that offered me a look into other peoples lives as long as I was safe and that there was no expectation or pressure for me to participate.
He said that as long as I came along with him with open-mindedness instead of a “I-am-definitely-not-going-to-become -involved-in-this” type attitude, that I might actually be surprised at what I learn and come across. Not sexually but more about people. He said some of the nicest people he has met have been the most ordinary down-to-earth people that just took sex to a different degree out of the bedroom. He gave me an example of one such meeting, where the husband and wife were hosting a BBQ and both were stark naked as they cooked. He said that there was nothing wrong with these people and that they were the kind of people that you would want to have as friends. He didn’t mention what the wife did for a living but he did say that the man was a driver for UPS.
I thought about his words. We were sitting in my car on a cold day in a beach parking lot and though it was brisk outside there were still many people walking about. I said to him:
”So what you are saying is that it could be anyone walking here now, such as that couple walking their dog over there or that couple jogging along or that couple pushing the baby stroller. “ “That’s right,” he nodded. “Just normal folks.”
Just normal folks. Well, I am pretty certain that if I do take such a chance in exposing myself to other people’s worlds, I am certain that less and less about this life will intimidate me.
